How simplifying impacts data collection and data sharing

Data helps you to better understand your audience, make better decisions, and improve services.

Sharing data effectively can generate more support for your organization.

Collecting data usually requires a lot of resources – time, translation, and other costs.

If your survey or focus group questions aren’t clear, you'll get unclear data.

You potentially waste resources, waste time, and frustrate your audience.

If you ask too many questions, fewer people complete your surveys.

Before you conduct or translate surveys, get someone to review them to make sure they are clear and concise.

If you do get effective data, share results using easy-to-understand language and images.

If you want me to review your data collection tools before it's too late, email me or go to www.simplifylanguage.com and sign up for a time to talk.

We can also work on improving your data collection tools during training, where you learn and practice skills while I provide honest feedback and suggestions.
