Make every minute meaningful

I love providing training and coaching on how to lead dynamic and effective presentations. A lot of people have great content, but they miss opportunities to make that content stick if they don't frequently engage the audience and make every minute meaningful.

Here are 4 actionable ideas to begin a presentation:

 - Start on time and engage people who arrive early, but don't say anything you'll need to repeat for latecomers. Avoid long or boring introductions.

- Address questions proactively. Participants often wonder...Will we get these slides? Will there be a break?

- Share 1-3 clear and concise desired results.

- Have people connect in groups of 2-4 within the first 10 minutes. Provide relevant prompts to discuss. Connection before content.

In my Facilitating and Presenting training I share 30-50 actionable tips. Learning just one new tool can significantly improve presentations or meetings.

I often learn new tips from my training participants too because I believe everyone has something to teach!
