Policies and resource consumption of AI

More people are using AI regularly. Yes it's weird and scary, but it can help you simplify communication. To be effective and efficient requires having human skills and using the tools available.

If you don't have an AI policy, create one. Most policies basically say:

- Protect confidential data.

- Check facts.

- Always add your human touch if you use it to create or edit writing.

I say use it but don't trust it, and only use it when you need to.

I linked an article below about the high resource consumption of AI.

In my trainings, I suggest instructions to give AI, and you'll practice simplifying your own communication with and without AI.

Absolutely agree—AI is a powerful tool, but it should enhance, not replace, our human insight and responsibility. Clear usage policies are crucial, especially when it comes to privacy and ethical content creation. And just like we need to be mindful with AI, we can also make smart choices with our tech habits. For instance, using black screen onl—a browser-based full black screen tool—can significantly reduce battery consumption on smartphones and laptops. It's ideal for background tasks like music or podcasts, especially on OLED displays, and helps extend battery life. A small digital habit that reflects thoughtful, energy-efficient tech usage.
