Do you edit your messages before sending them?

Two things I often hear from people who attend my Simplify Communication training:

1. "I now focus on what my audience wants from my communication rather than what I want to communicate."

2. "I now read and edit my emails before I send them."

Both seem obvious, but we often give audiences communication that is more complex or longer than what they want.

We send emails without reading them first, which can waste time, confuse, and frustrate our audience. I still need to practice what I preach about sending emails too quickly.
