Concise, precise, and nice

At a recent training, someone said they want to make their writing concise and precise. I love that. 

Many people worry that removing text means removing important details.

Usually you can keep the important stuff and remove 20%-80%. 

 

Another participant said they want their communication to be concise and nice. I love that too! 

Many people worry that brief communication will be interpreted as rude.

Usually you can be concise and convey a friendly tone.

 

In trainings we practice removing excess and minimizing fluff, not removing fluff.

AI can help, but it doesn't always find the tone you want.
